This new episode of WWE Smackdown Live on July 9, 2019 begins with the arrival of Dolph Ziggler on the parking lot of the SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire. Interviewed, he explains that Owens is not his teammate and that he had to wear it just as he has worn the company for the past ten years. He is interrupted by the horns of Kevin Owens who also arrives in the parking lot of the arena. An altercation between the two fires followed by a brawl. They’re being separated by several Superstars, security and Shane McMahon. The latter then decides to send Owens away from the venue and thus cancels the Main Event of the evening between him and Ziggler. Behind the scenes, Shane McMahon confirms the cancellation of the Main Event and says he has some ideas to replace it tonight.
Once the cameras show up in the arena, Kevin Owens lands by the audience, microphone in hand. He then asked the McMahon family to come to the ring because he had something to say to them. He says that ever since the McMahons announced to WWE fans that they will be the authority there’s never been so much bad stuff, so much air time for Shane McMahon and absolutely no one wants to see it. Shane comes to the clinic and asks the techs to turn off his mic.
Meanwhile Owens continues to pour his frustration on Shane and his omnipresence. Micro-Cut, Owens goes looking for another one and continues to tell his four truths. He goes on to say that every time he claims to be the best in the world, he insults every Superstar and wrestler who wants to be.
After a second mic cut, Owens continues with Byron Saxton’s at the commentators ‘ table to address the viewers, saying that he will never claim to be the best in the world and that Shane takes the airtime for Superstars such as Apollo Crews, Buddy Murphy, Asuka, Kairi Sane… then is interrupted by the arrival of security, requested by Shane. The segment concludes with Owens ‘ escape by the public.
