WrestleMania 35 is behind us and we must now think about the future. Next year, the event will be held in Tampa Bay, Florida for the 36th edition, and the rumors are already catching on!
Last August, Joe Peisich declared that WrestleMania 37 would be held in the brand new stadium in Los Angeles.
If he was wrong on the city of 2020 (he had bet on Minneapolis), he would have been right for 2021!
The Los Angeles Times reveals that Los Angeles Stadium, which should open next year, is the favorite to host WrestleMania 37.
City and stadium officials would like to use the biggest wrestling show of the year as a “test” before hosting the Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
President of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Committee, Kathy Schloessman, says:
“We know the power of WWE. They have already organized several events here, such as SummerSlam, Survivor Series, RAW and SmackDown, and we noticed that these events had a huge impact on the community, both economically and socially. WrestleMania is at the top of the list of events we want to have here because we want to host the biggest sports and entertainment events in Los Angeles. >>
The last time Los Angeles hosted WrestleMania was in 2005 for WrestleMania 21 at the Staples Center.
