The NJPW Super J-Cup back in 2019

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced this morning that the Super J-Cup tournament will be back after three years of absence. The tournament features the best Junior Heavyweight rookies competing to win this trophy. By the way, the last winner was KUSHIDA in 2016.

For this return, wrestlers from the NJPW, CMLL, Ring of Honor and other companies will compete and all the shows will take place on American soil! Indeed, the tournament begins on August 22, 2019 and ends on August 25 in these rooms:

  • August 22: Temple Theater in Tacoma
  • August 24: Student Life Event Center in San Francisco
  • August 25: Pyramid in Long Beach

This time the tournament will be organized and produced by legend Juhsin Thunder Liger, who has won twice this tournament.
