One of the many surprises at Fastlane was the heel turn of Shane McMahon, who attacked The Miz after their match against the Usos valid for the WWE Smackdown Live Tag Team Championship. But what were the plans for the duo before the ppv held in Cleveland? The American ESPN website responded.
The site of the famous American sports television channel revealed that Vince McMahon was not entirely convinced of his son’s turn heel. The patron of the WWE likes The Miz da face, although he thinks that the fans, in their eventual match at the Immortal Showcase, are more likely to cheer for their son than for him, despite the A-Lister is on the side of good and Shane from the bad.
For the creative team, the turn face of The Miz would bury his character, and it seems that the latter tried to convince the Chairman, but failed. Another idea was to keep The Best Tag Team in the World champions up to the most important ppv from the year.
An idea, the latter, that Mr McMahon has discarded, because he thinks that the WWE cannot give fans a signpost match for the tag team category if they are the champions. However, the American site thinks that the Chairman wants to make a big impact on the match, having both of them fight important spots in their match at WrestleMania.
