Roman Reigns did not want to go to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel

Almost four months after its release, the Crown Jewel pay-per-view is still talking about him. This event was held in Saudi Arabia on November 2, 2018 and a huge controversy has long threatened the smooth running of the show. In fact, the local authorities were accused of assassinating opposition journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the heart of the country’s consulate in Turkey. Thus, Saudi Arabia has been almost unanimously condemned around the world and (to return to wrestling) WWE has been urged by US authorities to cancel Crown Jewel.

However, the show did take place but several superstars had decided not to make the trip. This was for example the case of John Cena and Daniel Bryan. Obviously, another wrestler wanted to do the same. Even before the announcement about the return of his leukemia, Roman Reigns would have expressed to Vince McMahon his wish not to go to Saudi Arabia, according to the site Fightful. The “Big Dog” would have made this decision despite programming its match for the title universal against Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman.

Thus, we are entitled to question ourselves about the next events that should take place in May and November, again in Saudi Arabia. Will Reigns travel this time like all the wrestlers who refused to travel last year? We will see…

What do you think?
