Kofi Kingston is the superstar of the moment in WWE, thanks also to the extraordinary achievement made at WrestleMania 35 a month ago. The 37-year-old from Ghanaian origin won the WWE title for the first time in his career, as well as becoming the 30th Triple Crown Champion in the history of the Stamford federation.

During a recent interview with Express, Kofi returned with his mind to that magical night: “It was literally the point of arrival after a lifetime of work. The expression “making your dreams come true” has become a sort of cliché.

It is widely used, but in my case it happened exactly like that, it was my childhood dream. That’s all I’ve ever wanted, every time I imagined myself as a WWE superstar as a child and played with my friends I wanted to participate in WrestleMania, and that’s exactly what happened.

When that moment occurred, it was as if the world had stopped. I could not believe. Things in WWE change very quickly, you never know what will happen “- said Kingston.

“I never thought I’d win that match. When I heard the referee’s hand hitting the carpet for the third time, it was a rush of emotions. My family was in the front row: there were my wife and my children, my companions Xavier and Big E, as well as my brother who was in the audience.

My father had never come to WrestleMania before this year. I will always be grateful to have experienced such a moment ”- he added.
