Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler to write history

Smackdown dolph kofi

If Kofi Kingston scored this first half of the year by winning his first world championship at the WWE, the Ghanaian is not likely to stop there.

Certainly, he and Dolph Ziggler will go down in history as what the Americans call “Grand Slam opponents”, thanks to their future showdown at the Super ShowDown.

Indeed, the duo will become the third pair in history to have clashed for the 4 titles necessary for the status of “Grand Slam Champion”. The two men competing for the Intercontinental title several times in 2010 (notably at Summerslam), but also for the US title at Capitol Punishement in 2011, for the team titles at Over-The-Limit 2012 (Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger), and this Friday they will face off for the WWE title. Which is also a very beautiful lesson of perseverance!

The other two duets are: Shawn Michaels & The British Bulldog (under the old format), and more recently Jeff Hardy & Randy Orton (in the current format).
