With the wild card rule underway on Raw and Smackdown Live, we have seen many Superstars receive much more time than the usual transmission. Roman Reigns has been consistently present in both shows, as have Kofi Kingston and, recently, Drew McIntyre. No one more than Shane McMahon, of course. Shane McMahon’s small family of helpers is also formed by Elias. This week he took them from Seth Rollins, then The Miz, Bobby Lashley, Cesaro, Ricochet and Braun Strowman.
He recovered some momentum at Smackdown Live by being in the winning team with McIntyre against The Miz and R-Truth but it was clearly a match made to make Drew look strong. It is therefore a bit of a negative moment for Elias and the plan seems to be to give him less time on TV because, according to the WWE, things have not worked well with him and sometimes the best thing to do is to take him out of the spotlight and solve the what’s this. Elias was in high-profile positions, but unfortunately that didn’t make him a Top Star according to the company.
