The new WWE 24/7 Championship has been, over the past few weeks, one of the main points of interest to attention during WWE’s weekly programs. Despite the popularity of the title, not everyone supports this idea that WWE has been putting into practice, as they think the title has no meaning.
And one of these people is Booker T, who wanted to give his opinion on the WWE 24/7 Championship during the last edition of his podcast. The former wrestler and commentator said the following about the title::
I’m still trying to find the meaning of that title. The titles have a meaning behind them. They have a certain relevance, and the goal is for them to mean something. So I’m trying to find out how far you want to take this idea, because on the Raw Reunion the title changed hands several times.
In this answer, Booker T also touches on one important point: relevance. Moving on, the Hall of Famer also said the following::
We always like to have fun, whatever it is. However, some people don’t see it that way. WWE Universe is big and full of different opinions. There are people who see the WWE 24/7 Championship as a comic book title and others who see it as a normal title.
However, this is not the end of the matter. Booker T went further in his opinion and decided to compare the WWE 24/7 Championship with the former Hardcore Championship, with which he has some similarities. Booker T added:
I was Hardcore Champion three times in the same night at a live event and that was fun for those who were there watching. However, for the television and the audience you see through it, I don’t think it’s the same. We didn’t do much with the title at the time, but maybe it worked well these days.
This is then Booker T’s opinion of the new WWE 24/7 Championship. The Hall of Famer thus leaves a few minor criticisms, but at the same time highlights important points and compares it to the former Hardcore Championship.
