AEW: Cody’s opponent at Double or Nothing announced

It was known that Cody had a scheduled match for AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV. But the name of his opponent was still announced, and for good reason: it is a WWE Superstar who is no longer under contract with the federation. We now know who it is.

It was during the last episode of the YouTube series “The Road to Double or Nothing” (see at the top of the article) that Cody’s opponent for May 25 was announced. It will be a brother versus brother match because it’s Goldust! His last match was last June, he was injured and had to operate on both knees in July. So that confirms his departure from the WWE, he who said he will be at the second All In after the success of the first in September.

On Twitter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Goldust’s contract with WWE had expired and had not re-signed. See you on May 25 for AEW’s Double or Nothing to watch this brother vs brother match: Cody vs. Goldust.
